Auto top-up
Auto top-up always ensures you have enough credit to travel to your destination. When your account balance falls below $5 it triggers a top up (pre selected amount) from your credit card. It's free and easy to set up.
How do I set up auto top-up?
Step 1 - register and log in
- To activate auto top-up your go card must be registered - register your card now.
- Log in using your go card number and online password.
Step 2 - provide credit card details
- Click on the 'billing account' tab, enter your credit card details, then click save. (Only Visa and MasterCard are accepted.)
- Once you have completed this step the ‘top up’ tab will appear along the top of the page.
Step 3 - set up your auto top-up
- Click on the 'top up' tab.
- Select your top up amount - $20, $40, $60, $80, $100, $120, $140, $160, $180 or $200.
- Tick the auto top-up check box and click next.
- Confirm or edit your credit card details.
- Check that all details are correct on the order summary, and read and agree to terms and conditions.
- Place your order.
- The auto top-up amount you chose will be charged to your credit card immediately. See more about this below.
Step 4 - check your auto top-up
- Click on the 'summary' tab.
- The auto top-up will appear in pending top up amounts.
- It may take up to 48 hours for the top up to be downloaded to your go card. You must touch on to a card reader with 60 days or the top up will be returned to your credit card.

Things you need to know
When you are setting up auto top-up for the first time, your preselected top up amount will be charged to your credit card immediately.
For example, if you select $20 as your auto top-up amount, $20 will be charged to your credit card immediately and added to your travel balance within 48 hours. When your go card balance falls below $5, your auto top-up will be triggered and $20 will be charged to your credit card and added to your travel balance immediately.
