What is NightLink?

NightLink is the name given to the all-night public transport services that leave Fortitude Valley, Brisbane City and Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast late Friday and Saturday nights. These services help patrons get home safely after a night out.

Buses and trains

go card is the easiest and most convenient way to get around and is valid on all NightLink bus and train services. Just don't forget to touch on and touch off!

Single, daily and off-peak daily tickets are valid up to the last NightLink service scheduled, on the day of issue and within the zones printed on the ticket. Passengers who catch a scheduled, next day normal TransLink service will need to purchase another ticket.

For example: if you buy an off-peak daily ticket at 8pm on Friday night to go to the Valley and travel home at 7am Saturday morning on a normal scheduled TransLink service, you will need to purchase a new ticket for the return journey. However, if you depart the Valley on a NightLink service at 3am Saturday morning, the off-peak daily ticket is still valid for travel, as you will be travelling on the previous night's special NightLink service.

If you use a go card just touch on and touch off and the card will figure out the correct fare.

Regular TransLink tickets are valid for NightLink services and they can be purchased from the usual TransLink ticket outlets. Paper tickets can also be purchased on the night from bus drivers or from train stations.

Taxis

NightLink FlatFare services operate within TransLink zones 1 to 6.

NightLink FlatFare taxi services uses modified TransLink zones because there are a number of operating differences between taxis and buses/trains.

For the NightLink FlatFare taxi service TransLink zones 1 to 6 have been adjusted to reflect 'inner' and 'outer' parts of these zones. The inner parts of a zone attract a lower FlatFare than the outer part of the zone and the fare is paid directly to the NightLink FlatFare taxi driver at the beginning of the journey.
