The first section of the Northern Busway will link the Inner Northern Busway at RCH via the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) to Windsor. Delivering the Northern Busway This section will be delivered using an alliance arrangement between the State Government and private sector companies Abigroup (construction contractors) and SMEC (designers). Under a project alliance the government and construction contractor share the costs and risks associated with delivery of the project. Construction of this section commenced on 10 March 2008 and is expected to be completed by late 2009.
